Dear colleagues,

With the increasing digitalisation of rail, data security is gaining in importance. Intelligent data-linking has a high potential for new applications, services and rising efficiency. This opportunity runs against the risk that the highly connected rail system will be significantly damaged by cyberattacks, the effects of which can hardly be predicted.

The ERCI Cybersecurity in Railways Task Force Meeting #5 will take place on this subject on Thursday, 21 March 2019 from 09:00-17:30 hrs, at the Bombardier Transportation site in Hennigsdorf (near Berlin) on which we would like to invite you.

The aim of the meeting is to raise awareness and to identify innovative solutions to make the rail system more resilient to cyberattacks. Therefore, we ask you to forward the invitation and registration link to your cluster members in participation.

In addition, we have foreseen five slots that are available for ERCI members outside our region for presentation and discussion of innovative cybersecurity ideas and solutions. Please let us know in due time the respective interest of your members.
