European railway companies: plan your expansion to Japan in 2019

EU Gateway | Business Avenues is organising its second Railway Technologies & Services mission to Japan in 2019.

Building on the 2017 successful edition, the programme is on the lookout for 40 of the most innovative companies in the field to go to Tokyo from 26-29 November 2019.

Japan has a railway market worth €70 billion and the Japan-EU Economic Partnership Agreement plans to ensure faster access for foreign companies.

Systems such as safety technologies, particularly for high speed and urban railways, energy saving and energy storage technologies, including for hybrid-type vehicles, solutions that cater towards the luxury tourism sector, especially ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics event, high efficiency and low cost railway operation and transport systems, and solutions that serve the sustainable urban living and mobility branch are in demand.

These innovative European railway technologies & services will be showcased at the Mass Trans Innovation Japan event, the largest expo in the sector, held every two years.
